Speeding violations are a common type of traffic offense our firm handles. Wisconsin’s basic speeding law prohibits driving at a speed greater than reasonable and prudent under the conditions.
If you hold a commercial driver’s license (CDL), and you get a ticket you are held to a higher standard even when driving a regular vehicle. Many CDL holders are not aware that their CDL is at risk when they get a ticket with their regular license.
Reckless driving is considered more than a traffic violation. It can be a criminal offense that lands you in jail. The charge involves driving in a negligent manner that results in endangering other people and can be grounds for a Felony conviction
Distracted driving laws in Wisconsin make it illegal to operate a vehicle while occupied with any activity that interferes with the task of driving. According to Statute 346.89, a driver may not perform any other activity that reasonably appears to interfere with an individual’s ability to drive safely.
If your driver’s license has been revoked or suspended in any state, we just might be able to help you get back on the road. Resolving a suspended or revoked license is often easier than it seems. Mr. Ticket and his team will leave no stone unturned in their quest and may be able to get you back on the road, fast.
Because unsafe-lane-change violations hinge on whether the driver’s actions were reasonably safe or not, it can be beneficial in fighting one of these tickets to point to any factors that tend to show the lane change was made under safe circumstances.
In Wisconsin, as well as many other states, it is illegal for drivers or passengers to possess an open container of alcohol in the passenger area of a motor vehicle that is being driven on a public road.
Getting ticketed for underage drinking is bad enough, but if you’re under 21 and charged with driving drunk you’re facing some serious penalties. Remember, though, charges don’t necessarily mean you’ll be convicted.
In addition to the offenses listed above, we also handle every single violation listed in the Wisconsin Vehicle Code.

OUR ATTORNEYS WORK HARD TO GET YOUR TRAFFIC TICKET DISMISSED
Our primary goal is to get your traffic ticket – and fine – completely dismissed. Sometimes, that’s simply not possible, so your lawyer will attempt to get the ticket reduced to a non-moving violation that doesn’t go on your driving record and doesn’t impact your auto insurance premiums.
Most tickets fall within one of those two categories.
What if I just pay the citation? If you just pay the ticket, our courts will find you guilty. Tickets typically stay on your driving record for 3 – 5 years.
Your insurance premiums may go up, and it could be harder to deal with future violations
POSSIBLE OUTCOMES FROM TRAFFIC COURT with REPRESENTATION
Here are the possible outcomes when we fight your Racine, Kenosha or Walworth traffic ticket:
Full Dismissal
If you have a spotless record, or if your ticket has errors or inconsistencies, there’s a good chance that our traffic lawyers may be able to get the ticket completely dismissed.
When this happens, you won’t have to pay a fine and the ticket won’t show up on your record. It will be as if it never happened.
Amended (Reduced) to Non-Moving Violation
If your ticket does not have any errors, or if the judge and prosecutor have enough evidence to believe that you committed the infraction, then your lawyer will negotiate with the judge and prosecutor to reduce the charge to a non-moving violation (like a parking ticket). When this happens, you’ll likely have to pay a fine, but the ticket will not go on your driving record.
Our lawyers may be able to argue for a lower fine, but the real savings is that your auto insurance premiums will not increase because of this ticket, and future tickets will not have a compound effect.
Sometimes, traffic offenses don’t “translate” from Wisconsin to other states. So if you are licensed in another state, your lawyer can attempt to amend your ticket to something that will not report to your home state.
Ticket Points Reduced
Wisconsin uses a point system along with a fine when you get a traffic ticket, whether or not that it is a moving violation. This means that each ticket is given a point value, and if you get over 12 points within the previous rolling 12 month period, your license will be suspended. If your driver’s license is from Illinois or another state, and you get a ticket, our traffic lawyers handling your moving violation will be able to find out how the ticket might affect you in the state you have your drivers license from.
