Patrick K. Cafferty

Patrick K. Cafferty founded Cafferty & Scheidegger, S.C. in 1994 and has appeared in every municipal court and county circuit court across Racine, Kenosha, and Walworth counties in the decades since. His traffic-defense practice is the backbone of Wisconsin Ticket Specialists, the flat-fee microsite the firm runs for drivers cited in southeastern Wisconsin.

Over three decades Patrick has negotiated reductions on thousands of Wisconsin citations. From 20-over speeding ticket reductions to defective-speedometer dispositions, to reckless-driving amendments that avoid a criminal record, to CDL-saving resolutions for commercial drivers under 49 CFR Part 383. He knows the prosecutors at every court the firm practices in personally.

Beyond traffic, Patrick defends complex state and federal criminal matters including homicide, drug trafficking, and white-collar cases. He has been recognized by his peers with selection to the Wisconsin Super Lawyers list for 18 consecutive years (2008–2026) and holds the AV Preeminent® rating from Martindale-Hubbell, a distinction reserved for the top 10% of attorneys nationwide.

Patrick is admitted to practice in the State of Wisconsin, the State of Illinois, and the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin, as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.
